Punjab Govt has published the exam plan for grades 1-10th. The studies are being conducted gradually to avoid spreading due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
The dates of the entrance and midterm exams in Punjab for all bodies have been announced. The annual high school exam for all bodies in Punjab begins on May 5, the government said. In the meantime, the mid-term review for all provincial authorities will start on 12 June.

According to the announced schedule, the exams in groups 1-8 will be held in the last week of May 18 to 25 ,2021. The exam paper consists of 25 short questions of 50 points, each with corresponding marks for an hour.
- Mode of assessment of the academic session 2020-21 is 50% weightage for Homework andb50% weightage for MCQ based paper.
- Assessment for Grades I & II (English, Maths, General Knowledge and Urdu) will be Oral and instruments will be provided by the PEC.
- Item bank of 100 items per subject for Grade III to Vill of all core subjects (English, Maths, Science, Urdu, Computer Science, History & Geography and Islamiyat/Ethics) will be provided by PEC.
- Assessment of remaining / optional subjects will be prepared and conducted by school itselfEach MCQ paper will be of 25 items having 2 marks for each item with a duration of 60 minutes (in multiple sessions daily if needed) as per SoPs of Covid-19 issued by Govt of the Punjab.
- Date sheet for SBA will be issued by the Head Teacher of the school as per above mentioned schedule.

After a long shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, students from all public and private primary and secondary schools and universities returned to school on February 1.

Students in grades 1 and 2 are excluded from this pattern because their exams are taken orally rather than in writing. Speaking at a press conference recently, Dr. Murad Raas said that in the midst of the pandemic, the Punjab government is doing everything it can to encourage students.
Provisional dates for the entrance examination are also determined by the Punjab Education Department, which begins on May 31, 2021. Meanwhile, the Federal Ministry of Education announced the 9th grade exams and the May 20 entrance exam.
Last month, Sindh's Education Minister Saeed Ghani said the entrance exam will be held from July 1-15, while the midterm exams will be held from July 28-16.
In June, exams are held for toddlers up to group 8. The Minister of Education also announced the decisions of the steering group about the paper test for the board examination in 2021.
The duration of the exam is two hours as opposed to the previous three hours. Half of the exam consists of multiple choice questions, while 30% has short and 20% long questions.
