Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday called the Ravi Riverfront urban development project a "masterpiece for Lahore residents and overseas Pakistanis" and called for its rapid completion in line with international standards.
“Keep an eye on issues such as the environment, permanent water scarcity and water pollution remediation while you build,” Prime Minister Imran led officials as he chaired a review meeting on the project's progress in Lahore.

PM Imran expressed satisfaction with the growth and the encouraging trend in the construction sector following government stimulus measures.
The prime minister praised the interest of foreign investment firms in the Ravi Riverfront project, saying it would turn out to be a landmark construction site with modern conveniences.
Imran has drawn up guidelines to monitor the project on a daily basis and to remove administrative obstacles to smooth implementation.
He also asked the relevant authorities to keep him informed of the progress of the project.
The meeting was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Adviser to Prime Minister Barrister Shahzad Akbar, Special Assistant Zulfikar Bukhari, Provincial Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chauhan, Chairman of Naya Pakistan Housing Authority, Lt. Gene. Anwar Ali Haider, Chairman of Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project Rashid Aziz and senior government officials.
Prior to this, the Chairman of Ravi Riverfront Urban Development gave a detailed briefing on the project timelines and briefed the meeting on the interest of foreign investment firms in the project, infrastructure regulations and other administrative matters.
