-

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister of Labor and Culture, Shaukat Yousafzai, said the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project has been completed and will be officially opened by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday.

Yousafzai expressed this opinion when he spoke to the media on Tuesday during his visit to the BRT project.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Mehmood Khan oversaw and delivered round-the-clock work to the BRT, enabling the project to be completed without delay. “This is a major project that has been transparently completed,” he said.

Shaukat Yousafzai also visited different stations on the BRT bus, met people and monitored the ongoing operations in the stations.

“The first 200,000 BRT ZU cards will be distributed to the public for free,” he said. “In addition to the general public, women and students will benefit from BRTs that travel comfortably and safely.

The provincial minister also visited the central chamber of the BRT, where the entire BRT was to be monitored and controlled. He said the BRT would reach Hayatabad from Chamkani in 45 minutes.
