Federal Science and Technology Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said his government plans to turn Pakistan into a “technological superpower” within ten years.

In a series of tweets on Saturday, the minister said that according to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision, the projects implemented in Pakistan had been accepted by his ministry. “If the projects were not accepted, things ranging from disinfectants to masks would not be found in Pakistan or sold on black markets.”

The minister said that today the country not only meets its own requirements, but also earns millions by exporting these products.

In the next phase, Health City will build 200 hectares of land in Faisalabad and create special economic zones for science and technology in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. The technology sector and the economy receive special incentives in these zones. ”

“Our real goal is to transform Pakistan into a technological superpower within ten years,” he said.

Fawad also asked other multinational companies from other countries to invest in Pakistan and offer them tax incentives and location incentives.

Fawad said “I call on multinational companies from the United States, China, Russia, Korea, Japan and the EU to work with us to ensure that Pakistan offers the most competitive environment and the most relaxed tax structure for the technology sector.
