Pakistan National institute of technology has recently developed electronic machine for the e-voting in the elections, as this development came through the federal minister of science and technology Fawad Chaudhry.
Minster demonstrated the function of the third electronic voting machine, the machine contains two parts, one is for the voter and second is for the presiding officer.
Fawad said,we going to sahre this device with NADRA, NUST and COMSATS for further development of the device.

Electronic voting technology will soon be handed over from the Ministry of Science and Technology to the Pakistan Election Commission.

This was stated by Federal Science and Technology Minister, Fawad Chaudhry, as he provided details on the newly developed electronic voting technology at a press conference in Daska.
The federal minister is convinced that this will contribute to transparency in the election process. Chaudhry said the government had also tabled a bill on election reform to introduce an electronic voting system in elections.
The technology was developed with support from the National Institute of Electronics, the National University of Science and Technology and COMSATS.
Last November, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that his government would introduce an electronic voting system in the country to ensure free and fair elections.
The prime minister spoke to the country about electoral reform and said the government would set up a system for foreign Pakistanis to vote and be part of the democratic decision.
