No New Tax in upcoming 20-21 Pakistan Budget

-

The special assistant to Prime Minister for Finance, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh said the government will not introduce a new tax in the forthcoming budget 20-21 to ease the industrial sector.

Speaking to a private news channel, he said the government should work hard in the coming days to bring the budget deficit down to nine percent. He said that the negative effects of the coronavirus, like other countries, are impacting our economy and that the government is trying to cut spending through austerity measures.

He said the main goal of the government was to ease the burden on people in the next household and to cut rates in many parts of the household.

When asked a question, he replied that in the forthcoming budget, the government would provide a package to sectors that would increase economic activity and create jobs. He said the $ 20 billion support program in the G20 would delay payments.
