Murad Ras announced schools reopening in Punjab in Phases

The education minister of Punjab Murad Ras announced on Monday that all public and private schools will reopen on September 15 in phases.

Punjab Education Minister Murad Rass announced that schools will reopen gradually. He said schools will reopen on September 15 for the 9th and 10th graders, while classes for the 6th and 8th graders will start on September 22.

While grade 5 kindergarten preschools begin Sept. 30, Rass announced. "No double shift. All public and private schools allow only 50% of students in one day. The other 50% of students have another day," Rass tweeted.

It will be announced at the meeting of the Conference of Interministerial Ministers of Education (IPEMC), which will open all educational institutions next week.

The SED has established inspection / control committees to monitor the implementation status of SOPs / guidelines regarding safe reopening of schools and dengue prevention.

The committees are composed of heads of department (SE / EE), district representatives from QAED / PEF and DEOs.

Committees will visit both Public and Private schools to monitor the implementation of SOPs in the light of checklists issued by SED.

• Committees will monitor activities related to Safe Opening of Schools and Dengue Prevention.
• Divisional Directors shall submit consolidated reports to DPI (SE/EE).
• This shall be a continuous exercise, and shall be reported monthly once the schools are opened.

Visit reports for the month of September shall be submitted before the
opening of Schools.
