Pakistani animators currently have limited access to the necessary infrastructure and vocational training and courses.
The animation industry can make a significant contribution to the Pakistani economy. It can create employment, attract foreign investment and help prepare skilled labor. Animation not only adds entertainment, it is also widely used in education, healthcare, engineering and defense.
It was decided to make concerted efforts to promote animation in different sectors of society for the growth and prosperity of the country. In connection with enabling potential animation contractors, a dedicated animation incubation center has also been included in the proposed plan, the statement said.
Short courses in animation, games and design are introduced to train human resources in specific areas. The collaboration between MolTT and ISPR will bring tangible benefit in promoting the Pakistani animation industry.
