Karachi University entry tests halted for 2020-21 sessions

Karachi University (KU) has hold the entrance test in several programs for the 2020-21 academic session.

This was done by the university official Dr. Saleem Shahzad announced. He says applicants for MS (surgery) MPhil, Ph.D. and MD (medicine) does not have to take an entrance exam. The candidates are assessed on the basis of interviews conducted by the relevant department.

Students must submit scanned copies of their admission forms. Likewise, candidates from foreign institutes or institutions recognized by the HEC require an equivalence certificate for the award of local degrees. The deadline for submitting the documents is July 19.

Meanwhile, the Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has proposed that all educational institutions be reopened on September 1.

Sindh informed the Minister of Education that the decision to open educational facilities on September 1 depends on the pandemic situation. If the situation does not improve, the institutes will remain closed.

Educational institutions across the country were closed earlier this year due to a coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier, the federal government had decided to keep educational institutions closed from March 15 to July 15 due to a coronavirus pandemic.
