Nausheen Amjad, BS-22 tax representative, was appointed FBR president in early April after then-president Shabbar Zaidi was unable to continue his duties due to health concerns.

At this point, it should be noted that accountant Syed Muhammad Shabbar Zaidi was appointed chairman of the FBR for a two-year term. However, it is reported that Shabbar Zaidi will not resume FBR presidency.

It is recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan, speaking to journalists in Islamabad on 6 May 2019, confirmed the appointment of Shabar Zaidi as FBR President.
