Japan Aids $3 millon for Pakistanis students through JDS

The Japanese government has allocated $ 3 million to Pakistan for the Human Resources Development Project (JDS) for the 2020 fiscal year.

Secretary of the Economic Department (EEAS) Noor Ahmed and MATSUDA Kuninori, Ambassador to Japan, mutually signed the agreement and exchanged notes under the agreement.

Meanwhile, Shigeki Furuta, Chief Representative of Japan's International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Rahman Shah, Deputy Minister of EAD, have initialed a grant agreement detailing the details of the project's entry into force for the 2020 fiscal year.

The JDS intends to support the social and economic growth of the country by giving government officials and interested parties the opportunity to obtain a master's or doctoral degree in Japan to strengthen the organizational skills of the representatives.

Candidates for the JDS program involved in the design and implementation of procedures are likely to study at partner universities in Japan by gaining experience in their disciplines and understanding the development of Japan as a country.

“Japan is a unique country with a history of building a liberal nation with advancements in socioeconomics and technology from its inception after World War II.

The JDS Scholarship is expected to help strengthen the administrative capacity of the Pakistani Government by providing opportunities to obtain graduates and PhDs in the philosophy of talented government officials involved in formulating and implementing Pakistan's social and economic development.

Japan will continue that this project will further strengthen the bond of friendship between the two countries, ”said the ambassador.
