Huawei and HEC are offering free ICT skills training to 30 students across the country as part of the Huawei Seeds for The Future 2020 program.
In the past 5 years, approximately 55 students from all over the country have been sent to China for two-week training in Chinese culture and ICT skills to further improve their academic skills. Due to COVID-19, HEC and Huawei will practically organize the program from 21-25 this year. September 2020.

Huawei Technologies (Pvt). Ltd Pakistan and the Pakistan Higher Education Commission (HEC) are inviting potential Pakistani students to apply under Huawei's Seeds for the Future 2020 program.
Huawei organizes online courses for 30 outstanding Pakistani students in ICT from 21-25. September 2020. Selected students can acquire valuable ICT knowledge developed by Huawei headquarters and experience virtual intercultural communication.
The two best students will be selected and sent to China for the learning journey in early 2021, along with students from all over the world. The top ten students will receive Huawei souvenirs for their participation.
The application process is as follows:
- Apply through HEC's online application portal https://seedsprogramme.hec.gov.pk
- Follow the instructions, complete and submit the online application completely.
- HEC reserves the right to conduct interviews with initially selected candidates.
- Incomplete or saved applications in the online HEC portal will not be processed.
- The recommendation of the nominated agency, is final and binding.
- It should be noted that the minimum CGPA requirement for the program is 3.5 or higher.
- Students entering the 7th or 8th semester can apply to the program, or if they have just graduated, they are also eligible.
The detailed admission criteria are listed below:
AJK citizen and permanent resident of Pakistan / AJK. Holders of dual citizenship are not eligible
Main in disciplines / subjects such as information and communication technology, computer science, information technology, business information technology, multimedia and digital arts, software technology, information systems, computer technology, electrical engineering, telecommunication technology, electrical engineering
Students are currently enrolled in the final year of an ICT-related Bachelor's degree (four-year program with 7th and 8th semesters only) with a CGPA of at least 3.5 out of 4.
Students who have completed their four-year bachelor's degree in ICT with a CGPA score of at least 3.5 out of 4.

Less than 24 years from the application deadline
Show excellent academic understanding and fluent English ,You have a strong interest in information communications and technology and related areas,With PC equipment and a strong internet connection.
Selected students must be available during online education (September 21-25, 2020).
Final selection will be based on academic expertise and the federal government. Quota policy
In the case of a final award, selected candidates cannot withdraw,About 30 students from all over the country will be trained by Huawei after the final selection of the HEC. The application deadline is September 14, 2020.
