Overview of the National Assembly’s Internship Program
This internship is a flagship initiative that enables participants to understand the parliamentary system, legislative process, and public governance in an enriched learning environment.
Through real-time engagement in committee meetings, research units, legislative drafting sessions, and policy analysis, interns will acquire firsthand experience of how public institutions shape national direction.

- Internship Cycles: Conducted on a rolling basis across the year
- Location: Primarily at the National Assembly Secretariat, Islamabad, with training sessions at Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS)
Academic Requirements
- Minimum 14 years of education from a Higher Education Commission (HEC)-recognized institution
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from:
- 4-year undergraduate programs (after 4 semesters)
