Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has launched Women Empowerment through the Digital Skills program with financial and technical support from the Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) and the World Bank.
The digital literacy program is part of the government's plan to create more digital jobs in the province," said Rukhsana Nader, president of the CP Chamber of Commerce for Women, who speaks for profit. "The program will support 3,000 women in the province in the field of information technology and also provide them with employment.
According to science and IT advisor Ziaullah Bangash, the CP government has empowered women across the province through appropriate education in modern technology. "KP offers women many opportunities in the IT field because international organizations have made huge investments in this sector," he said.

Bangash said the KP has taken the initiative to realize Prime Minister Imran Khan's vision of a digital Pakistan. KP has surpassed other counties by educating and outsourcing women in this area, he claimed.
CEO of KPITB Dr. Shahbaz told this author that 500 women would be trained online in the first phase of the program. Given the coronavirus outbreak, this training program will be held online, with candidates coming from home, he added.
Shahbaz said that women from all parts of the province between 18 and 30 years old can apply for the program by registering on the KPITB official website.
Eligibility Requirements
- The applicant must have a valid CNIC
- Woman
- Age: 18-35 years old
- Education: Minimum level for advanced students / A or equivalent
- The applicant must be familiar with the basic use of the computer
- The applicant's domicile must be from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (including Allied districts).
- The applicant must have internet access
