A history of civilian aircraft crashed in Pakistan including the National Air lines PIA.
1- 20 May 1965
First accident happened in Egypt the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Boeing 707 crashes on its boarding flight when it attempts to land at Cairo International airport, 124 people died in this accident.
This flight was operated from the Karachi jinnah International Airport with one stop in Saudi Arabia Dharan International Airport.
2- 6 August , 1970
The second accident happed on 6th August in Islamabad, A PIA Fokker F27 turboprop plane crashed while attempting to take off from Islamabad in a thunderstorm, 30 people on board passengers died.
3- 8 December 1972
The third accident occurred on December 8, 1972 in Rawalpindi ,A PIA Fokker F27 crashes in Rawalpindi near Islamabad.Total 26 people on board died in this accident.
It was reported,the weather was rainy in that day and plane collapsed with a hill near Maidan Town, people died due to fire in engine.
4- 26 November 1979
The fourth crash happened in November 26, 1979 in Jeddah , Saudi Arabia , A PIA Boeing 707 that brought Pakistani Hajj pilgrims home from Saudi Arabia crashed shortly after takeoff from Jeddah airport, 156 passengers lost their life in this accident.
The crash reason was the fire inside the cabin of the plane,most peoples understanding the fire was due a gas stove carrying by thr pilgrims

The fifth accident happened on October 23, 1986 in Peshawar, A PIA Fokker F27 crashed in northwest Peshawar, killing 13 of the 54 people on board.
6- 17 August 1988
The 6th crash event happen on August 17, 1988 in Bahawalpur , Hercules C-130 U.S. military aircraft crashes into the eastern Pakistani city of Bahawalpur and kills military head general Mohammad Zia ul Haq and 30 others, including Pakistani generals and the U.S. ambassador.
7- 25 August 1989
The 7th accident happened on August 25, 1989 in GB , A 54-person PIA Fokker disappears after leaving Gilgit in northern Pakistan. The wreckage was never found.
8- 28 September 1992
The 8th PIA plane crash event occurred on September 28, 1992 in Kathmandu, An Airbus A300 PIA crashes into a cloud-covered hill in the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu after the plane crashed prematurely and 167 on board people's died in this accident.
TSB ( Transportation Safety Board) reported pilot made a early descent ,which caused the plane to crash with Chure Hills. It was supposed this accident was due to the pilot error.
9- 19 February 2003
The 9th accident happened on February 19, 2003 in Kohat, An Air Force Fokker F27 crashes into the misty mountains near the northwestern city of Kohat and kills the Air Force chief, Marshal Mushaf Ali, his wife and fifteen others.
The fokker was in touch with northern air comand and lost the contact when it crashed with the Tolanj Mountain range.
10. 24 February 2003
The 10th plane crash event occurred on February 24, 2003 in the Karachi ,A chartered Cessna 402-B with Afghan mines and Industry Minister Juma Mohammad Mohammadi, four Afghan officials, a Chinese mining company and two Pakistani crews crash in the Arabian Sea near the southern city of Karachi.
11. 10 July 2006
A PIA flight PK 688 take off from the Multan was supposed to land in Lahore and later in Benazir International Airport on July 10, 2006 but could not landed and crashed.
A Fokker F27 PIA on its way to Lahore crashed into a field in the field shortly after take-off from the center of Multan, killing 41 passengers and four crew.
12. 28 July 2010
The 12th sad plane crash accident happened on July 28, 2010 in Islamabad Margla Hills, An Airblue Airbus 321, operated by Karachi private airline Airblue, crashed into the hills outside Islamabad as they prepared to land, 152 on board passengers died in this accident.
There wa lot of dense fog and raining that day, which caused this fatal accident.
13. 5 November 2010
The 13th palne crash event happened on November 5, 2010 in Karachi
A Pakistani JS Air beech 1900 twin-engine airliner with personnel from an Italian oil company ENI, crashed into Karachi shortly after takeoff, killing all 21 people on board.
The Flight was departed for Bhitt Shah Gas field near District Dadu but couldn't land. JS airline closed their flight business and withdrawn their Air operators certificate (AOC).
14. 28 November 2010
The 14th accident of plane crash reported on November 28, 2010 ,12 people are killed when a Russian-made Ilyushin IL-76 cargo plane belonging to the Georgian airline Sunway crashes into a fireball a few seconds after takeoff.
15. 20 April 2012
The 15th crash happened on April 20, 2012 in Islamabad ,A Bhoja Air Airbus 737 (213) crashes near Vullage Hussain Abad in bad weather, the plane was stucked in lightning killing 121 passengers and 6 crew.
This palne was too old ,prior it was used by the British Airways and later a South African airline.
16. 8 May 2015
The 16th crash reported on May 8, 2015 in Gigit Baltistan, A Pakistani military helicopter crashed and killed eight people, including Norwegian, Philippine and Indonesian envoys, and the women of Malaysian and Indonesian envoys, and set fire to a school building in a remote northern valley near Gilgit.
17. 7 December 2016
The 17th bad news of plane crash reported on December 7, 2016 , A PIA ATR-42 plane crashes from Chitral to Islamabad. The accident killed 48 passengers and crew, including the former famous singer Junaid Jamshed.
18 . 22 May 2020
The 18th plane accident reported on May 22, 2020 in Karachi, A PIA A-320 commercial airplane crashes near Karachi airport on a trip from Lahore. A total of 90 people, including 8 crew members, were on board the aircraft.
The Plane crashed on the populated area just before the airport run ways.
In PIA history ,there was some survivors reported from the crash.
