FC soldier who killed a student, Hayat Baloch infront of his parents is sentenced to death by the local court of the Balochistan.

A local court in Balochistan has sentenced a soldier of the Frontier Corps (FC) to death for murdering a student Hayat Baloch who was shot dead in front of his parents by Sepoy Shadiullah FC on August 13, 2020 after a bomb attack in the area.

Hayat was a physiology student at the University of Karachi and shook his parents’ hands in a palm grove in the Absar area of Turbat in Koch Balochistan district when the incident occurred.

Turbat District and Sessions Judge Rafiq Langau ruled on Wednesday in the presence of Shadiullah and Hayat’s brother Murad Baloch, said attorney Jarin Dashti, a lawyer representing Hayat Baloch’s family.

The court sentenced the suspect to death after sentencing him under Section 302 of Pakistan’s Penal Code (PPC). The murdered student’s parents had testified in court and identified the accused during the identification parade.

The defendant had also tried the crime in a judge. The FC Inspector General had visited Hayat Baloch’s home after the tragic incident that triggered the outbreak and assured the family of justice.
