The government of Pakistan has extended the period of validity of visas for foreigners residing in Pakistan to August 31 after the coronavirus pandemic across the country.
The Ministry of the Interior has issued a statement on this. The proposal applies to foreigners whose visas have expired since March 15.

The competent authority welcomed the extension of the validity period of all visas until 31 August 2020 for foreigners currently in Pakistan who have visas expired since 15 March 2020.
The notification was also forwarded to the Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Directorate General for Immigration and Passports to take appropriate action in this regard.
Yesterday, the Special Assistant (SAPM) of the Prime Minister for National Security, Dr. Forgiven Yusuf, the government will allow all airlines to operate from June 20 to return Pakistani overseas.
At a press conference with SAPM on Pakistanis abroad, Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari said that all airport travelers are scanned and asked about their travel history.
The special assistant said that all returning passengers must be quarantined 14 days after arriving in the country. He asked them to come out only if they showed symptoms and needed to go to the hospital. He said passengers can now buy tickets directly from airlines instead of from embassies.
