Fawad Chaudhry confirms the use of Drone technology for motorways surveillance

-

Federal Minister for science and technology, Fawad Chaudhry confirms the Pakistani National highway and motorway police will use drone technology to monitor the country’s road network.

The introduction of drone technology is in line with government policies introduced in December to expand the use and local production of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Since drones have already been used to repel carob attacks in Pakistan’s agricultural sector, they are now intended to help control the flow of traffic on the country’s highways and prevent crime.

The science department, Chaudhry said in a tweet, fully supported the police in carrying out the project.
