Facebook’s Launched Quiet Mode Let’s you turn off Push messages

Facebook has announced a new feature in silent mode for its mobile application that will stop most push notifications and remind you that it is activated on your smartphone.

You can find the new Silent Mode feature under the "Your Time on Facebook" dashboard, introduced in November 2018, after major platforms and device manufacturers like Apple and Google announced their digital wellness apps.

The company did not specify which notifications to exclude from the new report. However, the new mode should not be confused with the "Mute push notifications" setting, which allows you to turn off only audio messages, but not for a limited time.

“As we all adapt to new routines and stay at home, it can be helpful to set limits on your time online. Whether you want to focus on family and friends, sleep without distraction or spend your time at home, we have the tools to help you find the right balance for using Facebook. says the company.

In addition, new links are added to the notification settings and to the "News Feed Settings" window, so that "you can make the most of your time on Facebook by managing the types of posts you see in your feed. news and updates you receive.

The new mode is an update of the dashboard which also includes weekly trends, day and night usage, and a count of the total number of visits. Facebook will launch the new mode for iOS and Android users in May, the company said.
