Facebook and Instagram users will soon see posts reminding them to wear a face mask, Facebook announced. Facebook will add posts to its news feed and Instagram feed urging people to wear face masks as Covid-19 continues to spread.
"We posted a warning on Facebook and Instagram to remind everyone to wear face wear and get more prevention tips from the CDC in our Covid-19 information center."
At the top of news feeds on Facebook, a warning message appears, directing users to the Covid-19 information center. See Links to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for more information. Instagram will have a similar prompt with CDC links, Facebook said.

The company says the move is in response to the rise in US Covid 19 cases.
Facebook, which also owns the photo-sharing network Instagram and the messaging app WhatsApp, has struggled to control large amounts of bug information about the Covid 19 pandemic.
The social media giant has been extremely aggressive with fake coronavirus positions, and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said craziness with the virus poses more of a threat to users than political lies.
