Education Above All foundation to build a smart school in Islamabad

Pakistan first smart school in Islamabad

Alight Pakistan and Future Development Holdings are working together to build the first of their kind smart school that provides children outside the schools in Islamabad with free education and life skills in Capaital Smart city area.

The school building was designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid and donated by Education Above All (EAA), a Doha-based foundation.

The foundation recently partnered with Alight Pakistan and funds the largest primary school initiative aimed at educating one million school children.

The school will be innovative and energy efficient and will be located in the capital of Smart City in the buildings of the Community Development Hub.

The agreement was signed between the two companies at the FDH office in Islamabad.

On this occasion, the chairman of FDH’s Zahid Rafiq group said that through this movement, the company wanted to offer marginalized social groups the benefits of modern conveniences.

This partnership aims to educate and value children by offering free quality education.

Alight Pakistan’s national representative, Dr. Tariq H. Cheema said that more than 22 million children in Pakistan, 10 percent of the total population, do not attend school for various reasons.

He said that to meet this gigantic challenge, solutions must be developed by aligning synergies between the public, private and philanthropic sectors.
