Ease of Doing Business(EODB) dashboard launched by Punjab Government

The Punjab government launched the Easy of Doing Business (EODB) monitoring and monitoring dashboard on Friday to raise awareness of government reforms and ensure that they are being used effectively.

On this occasion, Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht said the application would provide guidelines for business start-ups, while the dashboard would help improve the efficiency of reform processes and promote transparency.

He said reforms were underway to speed up the settlement of land-related disputes in court. "In this regard, the establishment of civil courts will be an important milestone in the reform agenda of the Punjab government." The provincial minister noted that countries around the world have made facilities available to increase investment under Covid-19.

To participate in this global race, we also need to review our rules, he added. Hashim Jawan instructed the Legal Department to ensure the necessary changes to all business-related laws at the earliest. “A dashboard needs to be set up to track changes in all relevant laws.

The targets for facilitating companies, which have been set for January 2020, must be reached by mid-February, ”said the minister. He praised the work of the Planning and Development Committee in implementing the reform agenda to make things easier and congratulated the committee on the launch of the EODB app.
