Babar Azam sets another record in second T20 against England

Pakistani Twenty20 International (T20I) captain Babar Azam besomes fastest batsman to reach 1,500 T20I races after hitting the milestone in his 39th inning in the second T20I against England on Sunday at Manchester's Old Trafford.

Babar scored 56 runs from 44 deliveries over the course of the match, giving his team a solid foundation.

Australian Aaron Finch and Indian Virat Kohli had previously beaten the target in the same number of rounds as Babar.

Babar currently holds first place in the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for men in the game's shortest format.

The prolific batsman has seen a meteoric rise in the world of cricket. The 25-year-old also ranks third in ICC's One-Day International (ODI) eyelash rankings and fifth in the ICC men's test rankings.

Babar is currently the only batsman in the world to hold a top 5 spot in the ICC rankings for all three formats.

The current captain of the Men in Green T20I has represented his country in 29 trials, 74 ODIs and 39 T20Is, scoring 2,045 races, 3,359 races and 1,527 races in each format. He has an average of 45.4 in tests, 54.2 in ODIs and 50.7 in T20Is.
