15 militants killed in military operations in KP

-

Pakistan’s security forces successfully eliminated 15 militants in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on February 15, 2025.

These operations, executed with precision and determination, underscore the relentless commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces to eradicating terrorism from the region.

The first intelligence-driven operation took place in Hathala, Dera Ismail Khan District, where security forces engaged a group of highly dangerous terrorists.

These militants had long been on the radar of Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies for their involvement in numerous terrorist attacks, targeted killings, and ambushes on security personnel.

The operations were not without sacrifices. As security forces bravely confronted the terrorists, an intense exchange of fire ensued, during which four valiant soldiers embraced martyrdom.

Miran Shah, North Waziristan – 6 Terrorists Killed

  • Lieutenant Muhammad Hassaan Arshaf (21, Lahore)
  • Naib Subedar Muhammad Bilal (39, Dera Ismail Khan)
  • Sepoy Farhat Ullah (27, Lakki Marwat)
  • Sepoy Himat Khan (29, Mohmand)

Following the successful operations, security forces have launched extensive sanitization efforts across both districts.

The sacrifices made by our soldiers strengthen the national commitment to ensuring a peaceful and secure future for the country.

The success of these intelligence-based operations (IBOs) is a result of enhanced surveillance, precise intelligence gathering, and rapid response strategies.

  • Significant reduction in militant activities across KP and the former FATA region.
  • Strengthened border security measures to prevent cross-border infiltration.
  • Successful elimination of high-value targets (HVTs) responsible for major terrorist attacks.
  • Increased public confidence in law enforcement and counterterrorism initiatives.

With continued cooperation between security forces and intelligence agencies, the operational success rate against militants has significantly increased.
